1. Simon K.Y. Lee Prize for Service:
The Prize shall be awarded to undergraduates who have been in residence in the Hall for at least one year, on the basis of academic merit, and contribution to the Hall and service to the community in that year.

2. Simon K.Y. Lee Hall Alumni Association Prize for the Most Outstanding Student of the Year:
The Prize shall be awarded to a student who is a resident of the Hall and who has led a balanced hall life, that is, someone who has performed well in his/her academic work and has actively participated in hall activities.

3. Lim Peck Siu Prize for the Promotion of Cultural Activities:
The Prize shall be awarded to a student who is a resident of the Hall, on the basis of academic merit and contribution in cultural activities during the course of the academic year.

4. Yu Prize for Public Affairs:
One prize shall be awarded annually to a student who has resided in the Hall for at least 6 months during the award year, on the basis of academic merit, and community service contributions in areas including, but not limited to:

promoting awareness of local/international current affairs and public issues; or
-
community service benefitting disadvantaged groups; or
-
human rights, justice, equity and equal opportunity; or
-
environmental protection, conservation and sustainable development.

6. Alvin Chu Foundation Prize:
Two prizes shall be awarded annually to full-time undergraduate Year 1 students residing in the Hall, or residents living less than 1 full residential year by end of May every year based on:

academic merit – a minimum GPA score of 3.5 or equivalent; and
-
student’s participation in and significant contributions to Hall activities and affairs, including (but not limited to) the following aspects: leadership, sports, culture, and social service.

7. Simon K.Y. Lee Prize for Social Service:
One prize shall be awarded annually to a student, on the basis of academic merit and participation in or organization of non-credit-bearing volunteering activities / services with most impact (locally and globally) for people in need.

8. Dr. Ken Ng & Dr. Letty Chu Award for the Best Academic Advancement:
The award aims at promoting academic achievement in the Hall, especially among Year 1 Students.

9. Simon KY Lee Hall Awards for Academic Achievement:
Two awards shall be awarded annually, on the basis of academic merit, to full-time undergraduate students who have resided in the Hall for at least one year, with one award for each of the following faculty groups:

Faculties of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine and Science;

Faculties of Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Law and Social Sciences.

10. The Sola Gratia Foundation Scholarships (Exchange)
The Scholarships shall be awarded to undergraduate students having cGPA 3.0 or above, residing at the Simon KY Lee Hall for a period of not less than a semester, shown significant contribution to the hall, and also with financial need, to partake in academic exchange under the HKU Worldwide Exchange or faculty-level exchange programmes.

11. The Sola Gratia Foundation Service Awards
The Awards shall be available to support undergraduate students residing at the Hall, to participate or who have participated in service learning activities locally or overseas, either on an individual or group basis.

12. The Sola Gratia Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships (Category I)
Current undergraduate or postgraduate resident who have resided in Simon K.Y. Lee Hall for at least two semesters and will be pursuing a full-time taught Master’s degree at the University of London.

Current residents and recent graduates to pursue a full-time doctoral degree at the University of London.
